Student Assessment and Placement Using Multiple Measures

Colleges around the country are increasingly turning to the use of multiple measures to assess student readiness for college level coursework. The high school GPA, in particular, can greatly improve the accuracy of placement determinations. In this session, Elisabeth Barnett discussed different ways colleges are going about creating multiple measures assessment systems and shared the results from research underway in seven SUNY colleges that indicates the promise of this approach.
