Multiple Measures Assessment of Student Readiness for College Courses

Existing college placement tests do a poor job of predicting whether students will be successful in college courses. In this session, presenters discussed alternative placement mechanisms that are increasingly used in colleges and dual/concurrent enrollment programs, with a focus on multiple measures assessment. Presenters also focused on approaches to preparing students who are not yet college ready for success in dual enrollment courses, in the context of middle and early college high schools.
