Colleen Sommo

Colleen Sommo is a senior associate at MDRC. She has over a decade of experience in postsecondary education research and is skilled in strategic planning, project management, and data management. She is the project director for Scaling Up College Completion Efforts for Student Success (SUCCESS), which partners with colleges in several states to provide in-depth technical assistance to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive student support programs that are cost-effective, sustainable, and scalable. Sommo also leads two evaluations related to the City University of New York (CUNY) Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP): a randomized controlled trial at Westchester Community College and a long-term follow-up study of the ASAP Ohio demonstration project. Additionally, Sommo is managing an IES-supported long-term follow-up study of the Dana Center Math Pathways project. She has extensive experience with school records and survey data and has managed data collection and data analysis activities on many projects.
