Policies & Practices to Accelerate Success: The Latest Information on Proven Placement and Pathway Reforms

In this session, presenters from CAPR, the Education Commission of the States (ECS), and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education discussed what they have learned about the effectiveness of placement and math pathway reforms. They described the prevalence of the reforms and provide examples of policies across all 50 states, in addition to discussing the conditions that allow for their successful implementation. The presenters engaged the audience on the institutional challenges and opportunities they have identified through their work on the reforms.
