Promoting Equity in Corequisite Courses Delivered Online
In this webinar produced by the University of Texas at Austin Charles A. Dana Center, CCRC Senior Research Scholar Nikki Edgecombe led a conversation on how to administer corequisite courses online in an equitable way. She discussed practices such as ensuring students have true access to programs leading to family-sustaining wages; leveraging the assets students bring to class in service of mathematical learning objectives; and creating a learning culture where all students are connected to the instructor, one another, and the content. She also prompted participants to consider the benefits of technology, as well as how technology can limit equitable access.
