Martha Ellis

Martha Ellis is the director of higher education strategy, policy, and services at the Charles A. Dana Center and a faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin. Ellis is a leadership coach for Achieving the Dream and Texas Pathways. She provides leadership development for college and university administrators as well as boards of regents and trustees across the county.

Previously, Ellis was the associate vice chancellor of academic affairs at the University of Texas System. She has experience in community colleges and has served as president, provost, and dean. Ellis has been a faculty member at two- and four-year institutions for more than 25 years. She has won numerous teaching and leadership awards, has scholarly publications, and is an invited presenter at national conferences. Ellis was recognized by the Texas House of Representatives and the U.S. Congress for her leadership in higher education.
