Marc Chun

Marc Chun is a program officer at the Overdeck Family Foundation. He leads the foundation’s exceptional educators portfolio, which strives to ensure that all children have access to educators who empower them to reach their full potential.

Previously, Chun oversaw the research and development portfolio for the deeper learning strategy at the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation. He also worked at the RAND Corporation, Stanford University, UCLA, and the Council for Aid to Education. Chun currently serves on the board of Shotgun Players, a theater company in Berkeley, California. He holds a PhD in education from Stanford University; completed a postdoctoral fellowship in sociology and education at Teachers College, Columbia University; and holds three master’s degrees in sociology, education, and administration and policy analysis.
