Laura Kalbaugh

Laura Kalbaugh is the dean of academic success and transition resources at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kalbaugh has worked in community colleges for over 15 years. She began her time at Wake Technical Community College as an adjunct developmental math instructor and has since held positions of increasing responsibility. Kalbaugh has worked with the North Carolina Community College System on several initiatives, including developmental math redesign, Career and College Ready Graduate (CCRG) legislation implementation, and the Reinforced Instruction for Student Excellence (RISE) initiative that is currently bringing the corequisite model to North Carolina. Kalbaugh is also the interim director of the North Carolina Student Success Center with NCCCS.
