Jeanette Kim
Jeanette Kim is the university assistant dean for prematriculation programs and program assessment at the City University of New York (CUNY), where she oversees three major prematriculation program areas: CUNY Start, the Adult Literacy Programs, and the CUNY Language Immersion Programs. In this capacity, Kim works with program staff across CUNY to establish policy, strategize on areas of program improvement and staff development, and determine growth potential for programs within CUNY’s Office of Academic Affairs. She also oversees the Office of Research, Evaluation, and Program Support, which provides evaluation services to more than 30 programs administered by CUNY’s Central Office.
Previously, Kim managed dual enrollment and other precollege programs at CUNY and at Westchester Community College (SUNY) and spent several years training teachers to establish school‐based science research programs. Kim has a BS in biology and chemistry from SUNY Albany and an MA in educational administration and policy from Teachers College, Columbia University.
