Tiffany Beth Mfume

Tiffany Beth Mfume is the assistant vice president for student success and retention at Morgan State University. She manages, among other programs and services, new student and parent orientation, placement testing, Starfish Retention Solutions’ Early Alert and Connect systems, first-year advising, financial literacy, alumni mentoring, and academic recovery. Mfume’s leadership has helped to promote 10-point increases in retention and graduation rates, and the national awards that Morgan’s Office of Student Success and Retention (OSSR) has received serve as evidence of the school’s effective student success model. In 2017, Morgan’s OSSR was selected as a national winner of the Hobsons Education Advances Award for Student Success and Advisement. The office has also been honored by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) with a Turning Points: From Setback to Student Success Award in 2016 and a Project Degree Completion Award in 2015. Morgan is the only HBCU to have won these national awards.
