Amy Brown
Amy Brown is a research associate at the Community College Research Center (CCRC) who conducts qualitative research on community colleges involved in the national guided pathways reform movement.
Brown holds an MSEd in reading, writing, and literacy from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in education and creative writing from Colgate University. Her research interests include schools as sites of social reproduction and transformation, community/school relationships, and teaching and learning.
Prior to joining CCRC, Brown served as a research assistant on projects on diversity in children’s literature and youth civic engagement at Penn and on the Living Writers course and an English faculty book project at Colgate. She also taught elementary students at Abington Friends School in Pennsylvania and worked at the Bowdoin College Children’s Center.
