She previously served as the center\u2019s assistant director of college relations. Earlier in her career, Garc\u00eda was the vice president of community college relations at the Roueche Graduate Center at National American University, and she has worked at Lone Star College, Maricopa Community Colleges, The University of Texas at Brownsville, and Texas Southmost College. Garc\u00eda\u2019s experience includes student development, instructional support, grant writing, and teaching. She serves as a coach for the American Association of Community Colleges Pathways 2.0 and the Texas Pathways Project.<\/p>\n<p>Garc\u00eda earned a bachelor\u2019s in journalism with a concentration in broadcast and a doctorate in higher education administration with a specialization in community college leadership from The University of Texas at Austin.
